SISTER NAMIBIA

Sister Namibia has been amplifying women’s voices since 1989. From a focus on inclusion in a democratic post-colonial society back then, to a focus on responding to our realities on the ground now, we know without any doubt that empowered women is not only the most urgent need of our country, but the most effective means of change for us all.

Our content promotes collective action by giving a loudspeaker to real people, by representing aspirational Afrofuturism and inclusive beauty, and by providing a safe refuge for collective delight. We answer the call for more responsible, activist driven media that leads bravely, and lobbies fearlessly, but over and above all else, is there to listen.

Our magazine has gained the respect of Namibian women for 30 years and it is our mission to honor that heritage. Our publication lives on, here on the pages of this online magazine and on our social media platforms. Our sisterhood continues to grow and we continue to bring truth to power.
